DrupalSouth 2026
On the 12th of May we hosted Contribution Day for DrupalSouth 2026 at our Xequals office in Wellington. And what a fantastic turnout!! We had long-time veterans and first-timers alike attend the code sprint.

Prepping the space at Xequals to host was super fun as well, it was a great excuse to get around to repairing some of our wobbly table legs

Big shout out to our team members Rox and Alex that gave talks on the following days at DrupalSouth, hosted at the lovely Harbourside Venue in Wellington. Alex gave a talk on Being in the Room is the Strategy. Rox was a speaker for two talks; Drupal as an AI for Fun Things, and Eventa: A Drupal-based Ticketing Platform.

We had a lot of fun, met some really great people and attended a bunch of great talks. Some of our favourites include:
- “Death to the Black Box” by Serge van Dam
- “Bots, Scrapers, and Proxies: Defending Drupal Sites in an Automated Internet” by Sean Hamlin from Amazee.io
- Try Government Again, We've Redecorated by Jonnie Haddon from CreativeHQ
- Reproducible Drupal Environments The Easy Way: A Hands-On Look At Using Drupal With Nix & NixOS by Andrew Benbow
- Including Disabled Peoples' Voice in Consultation by Leo Goldie-Anderson from Health New Zealand
Another big part of the DrupalSouth event is the Splash Awards ceremony over at Shed22, hosted by our friends at Ironstar. A massive congratulations to the nominees and winners of this year.

Again, thank you so much to those that made it out to our office for Contribution Day, and we look forward to seeing you at the next Drupal event we attend!
Peace out,
